{feelin' groovy}

the other day i got together with a couple mums and their kids (10 in total!!) and we decided to have a tie-dyeing par-tay!!

it may have been in the sweltering heat of the noon-day sun...and it may have taken us over an hour to mix all the colours together with boiling water...but who's to say;P

unfortunately, i didn't snap any pictures of the event...and the tedious tying or dyeing...or any of the kidlets displaying generous amounts of patience toward their mumas...

but i JUST rinsed them out and dried them...the dye isn't as vibrant as I, personally, would like...but...

the other day we were blessed to be entrusted with the duty of watching little mr. j.p...while his parents got a chance to treat themselves to a dinner out.

we enjoyed the opportunity to dig out some of the remaining "baby stuff" we have in the basement

{morning adventures}

So...the other week, a friend of mine and I decided that we'd take our kids on a morning adventure to a local restaurant for breakfast!

Some of you may not think that there is any issue is accomplishing such a thing, but please note that this particular group of folks includes 5 children under four with a set of 8 month old twins! Needless to say, our hubbies happily went to work that morning!

Tea was drunk, or drank?...consumed!

and tables left in shambles...

but we survived! And, had a good time doing it!

Either our kids are exceptionally well behaved or...
WE ROCK!!

2 words that basically sum up our past week and a bit! we've been home enjoying time with family and friends. working on the house and just relaxing!

on the 21st we (read: ME) decided that it would be nice to have an "open-house" for the Christmas season, but also to simply have some friends and family come out and see our new home!

so, although it was short notice, we had a great turn-out and enjoyed an incredible evening with great company and good food!

the kids had a great time too...



we're blessed to have great friends and live in a great neighborhood!




a great way to start the season of giving and reflecting on a year almost done!
