Better Late Than Never...

I have an issue with time! Not that I am ever late for anything, but I am surely never early! So, given that tid-bit of information, you'll understand the title of this blog!

Easter weekend was enjoyable - filled to overflowing with things to do, but "normal" and enjoyable! I was freakish about trying to get some pictures of the girls during this weekend - especially in their "Easter Attire," and was able to snag a few...and although the spirit/feeling of Easter is long-since past, I am really enjoying these photos and hope you do too.
`
~ Easter Morning ~
Mmmmm...
...Chocolate for Breakfast!!
Their very own "My Little Ponys"
The Hunt is on...
As for my lack of blogging...nothing really to report as a cause! Life has gotten to the point where I am sinmply holding on for the ride! And trying desperately to remember not to forget - appointments, events, meetings, school-schedual, other things I have said "YES" to! Nothing to complain about, however, that's for sure - other than my memory is certainly nothing like it used to be!
`
So...there's much more needing to be updated, but this is it...for now! I am SO looking forward to this up-coming weekend where I will be blessed with some priceless time with my dearest, longest friends - and getting to run in the BMO Marathon, the 8KM option!

~Blessings...to you!

Happy Earth Day

Hope you were able to take some time to care for our Earth today...carry it into a bit of every day! I took full advantage of free Starbucks coffee today...much needed after a stragly sad day.

This is ME in Grade Nine Baby...Yaa...

...and in Gr. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 & 8!! So humbling...but so true!

Thanks to the annual "Wacky Hair Day" at my school, I got to reminisce about the days of old...when my Mom thought it fashion-saavy to request my hair be brushed before I headed to school...every day...for years and years!
`
So in a last ditch effort to show my support for this yearly event, I figured I might as well shake what my Muma gave me - in the form of fashion advice, at least!
`
And then, just to add a little pizazz to the do, I stuck some good old Canucks logos in the mess, a "GO CANUCKS" mini-banner in the back - showing support coming and going - and donned my Johnny Canuck hoodie - after all, we are ALL Canucks!! (and I just love any excuse to wear my hoodie!)
`

So...that's it for me...for today! I have so much picture and print updating to do, but it's all a tad overwhelming at the moment. So, you'll have to stay tuned! Have a great weekend!

One More Mile...

Yup, that's me, crossing the finish-line of my second Half Marathon - shaving almost 15 minutes off my previous finish time!

Goal accomplished - second time! It still blows me away that my legs and feet comply with my mind to carry me those 21.1kms!

Two things different about my Half training...second time around: I trained on the road, and my hips thanked me! No grinding this time! And the most significant difference while training this time around - a friend to run with! Lisa kept me going when I wanted to quit - mainly because she was always in front of me and my stubborn side would not let her finish without being too far behind! We suffered through the long runs together on the weekends and we kept each other motivated during our training runs throughout the week! Lisa...thank you! Let me know when you're ready to train again!

One thing that hasn't changed this time around: Jim's support! I couldn't do any of this training if it weren't for his support, and for that I am extremely grateful! It is the best feeling to cross that finish line knowing my family is waiting for me on the other side!

Now...to think of my next challenge!
