much needed...much enjoyed...

so, I am still basking in the enjoyment of this past weekend.
jim and i were able to get away for a 2 night stay at the westin bayshore...as i was attending yearly conference on aboriginal education.
it was great - the conference, the hotel, the time jim and i had to spend with JUST US, the company who came out to visit, the food, the food (err, uh, did i just mention that? ya, i enjoyed some good eats!)
so, unlike "good" bloggers, i naturally forgot my camera, so i have nothin' to show you! but trust me when i say the scenes were quintessentially "fall" - light drizzle, vibrant fall colours, leaves covering the sidewalks, chilled to the bone - ideal!
this time away was exactly what my mind and spirit needed to re-evaluate "things."
life IS good
God IS good
i never doubted that,
but in the midst of "learning" it's hard for me to "know" with my heart, and not just my mind
so now...to continue along these same lines, wholly knowing what is truly important
being the best wife to my husband, the best mummy to our girls and the best me to me...
and making decisions that best support these roles.
i am grateful...
grateful for this time, grateful for the financial support, grateful for a loving place for our girls to stay, grateful for the realizations...
and now...grateful that i have someone who will suffer through a set of hills with me...in the dark...and the rain...off i go

You mean it's not just me who will do hills with you? I did after school today but it's not the same alone! Could you squeeze in a run on Wednesday if Jim's off?
